In homage to Wellington's iconic General Post Office that once occupied the site, we created a restaurant born from a love of intrepid travel abroad, discovery and culture. GPO is a culinary window to the world.

The GPO kitchen tells a vibrant story of vivid colours, bold tastes, and fragrant aromas. Influenced by the cuisines of southern Europe, Levant and Mediterranean, our menu features smaller plates inspired by the tapas and mezzes of the region, as well as larger dishes that include hand rolled pastas, pasture raised meats and locally grown organic produce. A highlight of our offering is an array of best of season seafood, ethically sourced from the pristine waters of Aotearoa; discover our signature 'fruits of the sea' platter with market oysters, storm clams, mussels, prawns and crayfish. 

Our sourcing is sustainable and considered, partnering with likeminded local suppliers that connect us to our community and their stories.
